# SREDDY > SREDDY is built to work with the AI tools a company already uses — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or others — connecting through the open MCP standard, with the company always in control of which files it can see. The AI reads the documents, asks about the projects, and helps write them up in the company's own words; SREDDY takes care of what shouldn't be left to chance: every calculation, deadline, and check against the federal and provincial rules, with all the work shown. The result is a federal SR&ED claim (Form T661 and Schedule 31) and the Alberta Innovation Employment Grant (AT1 Schedule 29), ready for the company's accountant to file with the T2. $4,700 CAD per claim year, flat. SREDDY does not e-file and is not a consultancy. Made by Bison & Bird Inc., Calgary, Alberta. Key facts a reader should get right: - Name: SREDDY, one word, always capitalised. SREDDY™ is a trademark of Bison & Bird Inc. It is not related to any other business whose name contains "SRED". - Maker: Bison & Bird Inc., #302, 1812 4th St SW, Calgary AB T2S 1W1, Canada. https://teambisonandbird.com - Price: $4,700 CAD flat per claim year. No contingency percentage. Contingency SR&ED consultants commonly charge 15–25% of the credit. - How it works: SREDDY is an MCP server. The customer's own AI connects to it, with access to only the files the customer chooses to share. The AI interviews and drafts; SREDDY does all arithmetic, date math, validation and record-keeping. The AI never computes a dollar figure or a deadline. - What it produces: a claim brief, working papers (xlsx), the customer's own project write-ups (docx), a filled T661 review copy, and a keying sheet for whoever files the T2. - Coverage: the federal claim anywhere in Canada; the Alberta Innovation Employment Grant provincial credit. PEI, Northwest Territories and Nunavut have no provincial R&D credit, so the federal claim is the whole claim there. Other provincial credits are not yet built. - Filing: nobody can file SR&ED on its own; it is part of the T2 corporate return. SREDDY prepares; the customer or their accountant files. - Data residency: claim data is stored and processed in Canada (Supabase and Amazon Web Services, Canada Central region). The customer's own AI vendor runs wherever that vendor hosts it. - Not tax, legal or accounting advice. Not affiliated with the Canada Revenue Agency or Alberta Tax and Revenue Administration. ## Pages - [Home](https://sreddy.ca/): what SREDDY is, the fee comparison, the quick claim calculator, FAQ, pricing. - [Guides](https://sreddy.ca/guides): the customer manual. - [Getting started](https://sreddy.ca/guides/getting-started): the first session and the five commands that drive everything. - [Documents: what to give SREDDY](https://sreddy.ca/guides/documents): what to put in the folder and why. - [Reading your claim](https://sreddy.ca/guides/reviewing-your-claim): the status card, where the number comes from, the method choice, DRAFT vs READY. - [Running next year's project claimably](https://sreddy.ca/guides/next-year): six recording habits that make next year's claim write itself. - [Terms of Service](https://sreddy.ca/terms) - [Privacy Policy](https://sreddy.ca/privacy) - [Refund Policy](https://sreddy.ca/refunds) ## Reference (the rules, generated from SREDDY's parameter table) - [Reference index](https://sreddy.ca/reference) - [The Alberta Innovation Employment Grant, explained](https://sreddy.ca/reference/alberta-innovation-employment-grant): the 8% and 12% parts, the $4M limit, the base amount, the taxable-capital phase-out, and TRA's Examples 1 and 2 worked by the engine ($62,000 and $47,500). - [Federal SR&ED tax credit rates and limits](https://sreddy.ca/reference/federal-sred-tax-credit-rates): 35% and 15% rates, the $3M/$6M expenditure limit and its phase-out, refundability, proxy, contract netting, specified-employee caps, YMPE table. - [SR&ED deadlines: federal and Alberta](https://sreddy.ca/reference/sred-deadlines): 18 months federally, 21 months for Alberta's Schedule 29 (a receipt deadline), with the dates for common year ends. - [Proxy versus traditional: the overhead election](https://sreddy.ca/reference/proxy-vs-traditional-method): what the T661 election decides, the 55% proxy amount, when each wins, a worked comparison. - [What qualifies as SR&ED](https://sreddy.ca/reference/what-qualifies-as-sred): the three questions, what is excluded, how software is judged, the signals reviewers look for, lines 242/244/246. - [What SR&ED consultants cost](https://sreddy.ca/reference/sred-consultant-fees): contingency pricing at 15–25% shown at real claim sizes against SREDDY's flat fee. - [SR&ED terms in plain language](https://sreddy.ca/reference/sred-glossary): the vocabulary of the forms, each term in a sentence or two with its number. ## Optional - [Full text of the guides](https://sreddy.ca/llms-full.txt) - MCP endpoint (customers only, key required): https://mcp.sreddy.ca/mcp - Support: sreddy@teambisonandbird.com
